2026 Ordering Information
Opening March 27th, 2026
Website Opening Announcement
Our website will officially open for sales beginning March 27th!
This is our first year with a fully functioning website, and we kindly ask for your patience as we navigate this new experience alongside you. We are learning too, and our goal is to ensure you have a smooth and pleasant shopping experience.
Shopping for new rhizomes is part of the excitement of iris season, and we want every enthusiast to enjoy selecting and growing their future plants!
Availability & Production
As this is our first year in production, we will have limited stock and varieties available. However, we have already planted an additional 150–300 cultivars in the field to expand our future offerings. Each growing season will allow us to rotate and increase our selection.
Many of this year’s orders will be fulfilled from strong, healthy two-year plants. If the variety you have ordered does not meet our standards for sale, we will gladly substitute it for a similar variety of equal value or provide a refund back to to your original payment source.
All paid orders will be harvested in early July. We allow rhizomes to grow as long as possible before digging to ensure quality. Orders will be filled in the order they are received.
We do not schedule individual shipping slots. If you require earlier shipping due to your growing zone limitations, please email us at LaurelValleyIrisFarm@gmail.com to discuss your request.
All orders will ship no later than September 1, 2026.

Cleaned and trimmed
-

Fans are trimmed to approximately 4–5 inches to allow more irises per package, helping reduce shipping costs for you.

Please note:
-
Laurel Valley Iris Farm is not responsible for damaged or missing packages. If this occurs, customers must file a claim directly with UPS.
-
Sales tax is not applicable for producers of nursery or field-grown plants in North Carolina.
Important Notice
Irises are resilient and can remain out of the soil for a period of time; however, we strongly encourage planting immediately upon arrival.
We are not responsible for loss due to:
-
Severe weather
-
Excessive heat or cold
-
Drought or flooding
-
Soil pH issues
-
Pests
-
Any naturally occurring conditions beyond our control
If an iris fails within one month of proper planting (following planting guidelines), please notify us via email no later than October 1st with a photo of the affected plant. We will replace the variety the following year, provided it is available. If not, you may select a substitute of equal value.
About Carolina-Grown Irises
Rhizomes grown in North Carolina and along the Eastern Seaboard naturally differ in size compared to some of the larger rhizomes produced by western growers.
Our rhizomes range from small to large (for our region), depending on variety:
-
Standard Dwarf Bearded rhizomes will be smaller than Tall Bearded.
-
Border Bearded and Intermediate rhizomes are often smaller than their taller counterparts.
-
Many historical irises vary widely in size.
These size differences are completely normal for our growing conditions and do not affect plant health or performance.
Bonus Irises
We love surprising our customers!
For every $50 in rhizomes purchased (excluding shipping), you will receive one bonus iris rhizome of our choosing.
It’s a fun surprise and our way of saying thank you for supporting our farm.
We appreciate each of you and look forward to growing with you!
Let's Go!
