About Us
Laurel Valley Iris Farm is a growing urban iris farm nestled between the mountains and the coast of North Carolina. We specialize in bearded iris varieties and cultivars, celebrating the beauty and resilience of this extraordinary perennial.
Plants and flowers have always been a passion of mine. Even as a young boy, I spent countless hours exploring the slopes of my home in the Appalachian Mountains, searching for native plants and wildflowers. Those early adventures shaped my love for the land and for the quiet wonder found in every bloom.
Our name, Laurel Valley, is inspired by a beautiful winding valley in the heart of Madison County, North Carolina—often called “The Jewel of the Blue Ridge Mountains.” That place holds deep meaning for me, and it felt only fitting to carry its name into this new chapter.
When I decided to create this farm, I knew I wanted to bring my passion to the fields by growing one of my favorite flowers—the iris. Irises are forgiving plants. They are resilient. They are divinely unique. Perhaps that is why they are my favorite perennial; they possess so many wonderful attributes that reflect my own journey.
It is my hope to share this passion with fellow iris enthusiasts and with anyone who finds joy in the beauty of flowers. I am excited to share this journey with each of you.

This farm is affectionately dedicated to my Mamaw Betty, who nurtured in me a love for flowers and gardening—a love that continues to bloom in every flower we plant.
